String of Yachts being launched by CRN

Following the launch of M/Y “Romance” and only a week after the launch of the 43 mt M/Y “Rubeccan” CRN launched the fifth vessel of CRN 128’ composite line: “Lady Belmor”. The mega planing-yacht, was placed in the water on October 25th during a private ceremony for the shipowner and his family.

Following the traditional breaking of the bottle, the vessel, with her elegant grey hull - the first time this colour has been used on the 128’ line – thrilled the onlooking guests as it entered the water.

The paint system of almost all CRN produced yachts has been provided by Boero as complete Supernavi system up to the topcoat, but the way it looks now, the following 43m yacht of CRN will also have the Challenger HS topcoat.

At a length of 40 metres and a width of 7.7, this mega-yacht can easily accommodate 12 passengers and a crew of 8.

CRN launch Designed for owners who want onboard comfort, but without neglecting performance, the two engines of the CRN 128’ line, MTU 12V 4000 M90 2040 kW models, provide a maximum speed of 24 knots and a cruising speed of 19.

Further proof of the technological excellence built into every mega-yacht designed by CRN is the installation, as a standard feature, of 5 Mitsubishi Anti Rolling Gyros (5 MSM 4000), a stabiliser system capable of reducing the roll of the ship by more than 50%, especially when it is anchored offshore or docked.

The result of a joint effort by the CRN technical team and the Zuccon International Project firm, “Lady Belmor” is a yacht with an unmistakably distinctive layout featuring three covered decks, plus an innovative tender garage with side opening.

Selected after close consultation with the owner, the elements of the interior design are characterised by a modern design, highlighted by the numerous details in steel, such as the frames on the built-in furniture and the wooden Venetian blinds, used in place of decorative curtains in all the different settings. A single type of wood panelling, canaletto walnut, is found throughout the ship, whose further elements of design elegance include the “L”-shaped Cassina sofa in the main lounge. The owner’s suite of this highly refined mega-yacht is found in the forward portion of the main deck, while the lower deck is set aside for the guests’ night zone.

As for the immense sundeck, its forward section holds a tub, while the aft portion serves as a sunbathing area.

Launch of the latest 58m Baglietto

Cantieri Navali Baglietto, a world leader in the construction of superyachts, is proud to announce the launch of hull No. C. 10201, a 58-metre aluminium motor yacht, christened Viki.

The naval architecture and exterior lines are designed by Gruppo Baglietto Engineering, the in house naval engineering centre that provides the shipyards of the Group with expertise in naval engineering, design and research and development.

Viki_launch_at_bagliettoArchitect and designer William Sawaya from the studio Sawaya & Moroni created Viki’s interior style and some exterior details. The result is an elegant interior décor with fine details and showing a vast range of rare and precious materials.

Baglietto paints almost all their new-builds ( including Viki ) with the Supernavi paint system from Boero. The final topcoat in this case is Awlgrip/Dupont.

This yacht offers a great degree of comfort even at high speeds and has distinct details that make her unique:

Helicopter deck and a relaxing area with a large sauna offering a sea view and a green wall or vertical garden and a 900 litre aquarium in the guest lobby.

Baglietto_varazzeBaglietto Yachts are constructed in Northwestern Italy at two shipyards at Varazze and La Spezia. Pietro Baglietto founded this company in 1854, in Varazze, first with an emphasis on a military/naval shipyard. As well as continuing in this military tradition, Varazze's pleasure yacht specialty is in fast motor yachts up to 131 feet in size, and La Spezia creates superyachts over 131 feet in length. Aluminum and steel are the construction materials of choice for Baglietto, who draws from a wide technology and process base for creating vessels.

The La Speziare shipyard, in use since 1930, also has a long history with refittings.
In 2004 – when Gruppo Baglietto entered the yachting business – the value of its production was less than
€40 million. At the end of 2008, production will exceed €190 million.
At present the Group is fully committed until 2011, with 25 orders that, between them, amount to a total
length of 1,032 metres. For more info visit www.baglietto.com

PERINI NAVI LAUNCHES S/Y P2, 38M FAST SLOOP

Perini Navi was happy to announce that the first Perini Navi to be designed by Philippe Briand - a 38m fast sloop - was launched at the Cantieri Navali Beconcini (a Perini Navi Group company) in La Spezia – Italy. The combination of Perini Navi’s philosophy and Briand’s vision has led to this new class of fast sailing yachts for owners who seek high performance allied with Perini Navi’s legendary comfort and unmatched quality. The designer, Philippe Briand says: ”While designing the new Perini 125’ line we had the image of a high performance gentleman’s yacht in mind. A performance sailing yacht needs to be sensitive in light air and powerful and stiff in heavy winds and that is what we have created. The other characteristics of a special sailing yacht are the elegance of its look and the sensation of performance and acceleration when under sail. If you add to that a refined and comfortable interior, the yacht becomes a real dream”.

The hull is constructed in Sealium, an aluminium alloy which provides greater mechanical strength and improved corrosion characteristics, while reducing weight. In racing trim, S/Y P2 displaces approximately 138tonnes. Twenty nine tonnes of this is in her fin-and-bulb lifting keel whose draft reduces from a maximum of 5.50m to a minimum of 3.50m – ideal for allowing entrance to smaller harbours and shallow anchorages.

Upwind sailing performance is enhanced with 7 tons of salt water ballast.

Perini_navi_launchThe yacht is rigged with a 50m-tall mast made from hybrid modulus carbon-fibre - a carefully designed blend of standard and high modulus materials - and sets about 734sqm of upwind sail area. The same hybrid modulus material is used for the Park Avenue boom. Huge weight savings have been achieved with the use of PBO for the standing rigging, resulting in a particularly low weight of 310 kg, including its titanium fittings.

To fit a conventional rig with its stainless steel rod would have required a crane, while the PBO was easily fitted using the muscle power of our rigger! In the Perini tradition, the 38m series has a pleasing and comfortable lay-out. While creating her interior the Perini Navi Interior Design Department was inspired by the lightness of the hull and rig and this resulted in a design in which the furniture appears to be weightlessly suspended in the air.

Mariotti launches Admiral 54

On 17th July, a celebration for the delivery to the ship owner sanctioned the official launch of the Admiral 54, the first 54 metre mega yacht designed by AMY, the joint venture between CNL and T.Mariotti of Genoa shipyards founded in October 2005 for the construction of displacement mega yachts under Admiral brand.
“An important goal and a further confirmation for our brand in the world of Super yachts”, the Chairman of AMY, Annamaria Jaselli Ceccarelli, confided emotionally just before the arrival of the guests. “In less than three years from its beginning, AMY today celebrates the delivery of its first order, while a 54 metre sister ship recently purchased by a Middle-eastern ship-owner is at present under construction with delivery in 2010”, the vice-president, Marco Bisagno, added with pride.
On the evening of the celebration more than 400 guests were welcomed in the evocative frame of the marina of the Exhibition Centre in Genoa, transformed for the event in a surprising way. The whole presentation was accompanied by the spellbinding voice of a fascinating soprano, seemingly ethereal standing out on the prow of the yacht, finally the real star of the evening arrived, M/Y SEA FORCE ONE. Emotions and amazement were the conclusion of a unique event.
230608_1556Those present were the ship-owner, his family and friends, the AMY management - Annamaria Jaselli Ceccarelli, president, Marco Bisagno, vice-president, Francesco Ceccarelli, AD, Massimo Allegri, AD, Laura Ceccarelli,  member of the Board of Directors, the town council major representatives, national and international press and numerous friends who enjoyed the evening intensely.
The M/Y SEA FORCE ONE, designed by Luca Dini Design is presented on the international scene as a really unique ship.
The hull is distinguished immediately by its colour, shiny black, the silhouette of the ship is imposing but sinuous thanks to the lateral rounding off of the silver grey superstructure, the fibre optic illumination in the saloons to strip lighting under the keel which give it a unique night visibility have been carefully designed. The elegant yacht, which was completely finished in the Supernavi paint system will be presented for the first time at the next Monaco Boat Show. The strong personality of the ship-owner is evident in every aspect. Designed to accommodate 10 passengers in 5 cabins and up to 12 crew members, the yacht reaches 54 metres in length, 10.50 metres in width and expands over four decks.

Sunreef extends their range with new 106' project

Sunreef_106_bigJust months after beginning construction of a Sunreef 102 Double Decker, Sunreef's in-house design team has developed a new concept - at 106 feet, a fast, high-performance but luxurious multihull, the Sunreef 106 Sailing.

Sunreef, one of the biggest Catamaran builders in Europe and a fixed customer of the Supernavi paint systems has proclaimed that they have a bright future with ever new models.

The basic 100 foot concept design has been customized and extended up to 106 feet to satisfy a European client's wishes for a somewhat larger Sunreef 100 while retaining the general aspect and exterior lines.  The interior design is the result of a close cooperation between the Sunreef in-house design team and the owner. With this order, Sunreef Yachts is the first and only shipyard in the world to have under construction two multihulls over 100 feet.

‘‘We've been receiving many inquiries for large custom yachts which is gratifying and supports our strategy to build this kind of boats," says Nicolas Lapp, Sunreef's vice-president, ‘‘With our first two superyachts due to be launched in the coming years, we have now achieved our goal to be recognised as a builder of large custom yachts that only happen to be multihulls."

Top results with electrostatic application

Img_1535The last Superyacht of Mulder Yachts in Voorschoten, Holland was directly also the first yacht ever to be sprayed with Challenger HS in an electrostatic manner. The results however were outstanding judged by the painters, Dirk Kinkel and Cor Kuipers and the shipyard. The arguments for using this way of application are simple. The loss of paint can almost be neglected. The amount of paint applied in one coat is very high, so it should normally be enough to only apply one coat. This safes time and prevents that you need to move the spraying equipment ( tubes ) up and down the gangways. It also prevents overspray. The use of electrostatic spray equipment is not new, but the results have always been less then in the conventional way. This seems a thing of the past if we review the current results. More and more applicators and shipyards see the advantage of this type of appication.

Technical information about the application at Mulder.

-          undercoat: Delta UC HB

-          sanded: P220

-          Ambient temperature: 15 degrees Centigrate

-          Top Coat: Challenger HS Off White, 1st coat), sprayed in one time

-          Thinner: 696

-          Electrostatic equipment; Ransburg vector cascade, low pressure

Cnl launches 32m aluminium Admiral

My_lumar_of_cnlLate June, the new 32-meter Admiral, construction no. 115, was launched into the water. The christening ceremony, complete with the traditional breaking of the bottle and blessing by the priest, was attended by the ship’s owner and his family, the crew, CNL President Annamaria Jaselli Ceccarelli,
Vice-president Laura Ceccarelli, General Director Francesco Ceccarelli, all of CNL management, and representatives from the technicians and skilled workers.

'It’s a moment of great pride,' declared Francesco Ceccarelli. 'Every time one of our vessels is lowered into the water, it is a great satisfaction for all of us who have laboured so passionately.'
Maurizio Magri, CNI Sale and Marketing Director, added, 'It is truly a time of great pride also because the Admiral 32 #115 is the first of four other vessels of 35, 32, 25, and 40 meters that will soon be launched. These are impressive figures for a yard that in only two years has doubled its production.'

The construction no 115 is a planning yacht 32 meters long, built from light aluminium alloy. It reaches a maximum cruising speed of 30 knots, thanks to two MTU 16V 2000 M93 engines, each with a potential 2,400 horsepower. Its V-shaped planning keel is the fruit of a collaboration between CNL and Studio Bacigalupo, while the rest of the structure was designed by Centro Stile CNL and Luca-Dini.
The exterior lines are fully designed according to the shipyard’s traditions, but most innovative is the colour of the hull and superstructure: metallic bronze. The paint system used on the yacht is the Supernavi system combined with a different topcoat that came out nicely.
This decidedly unusual choice is also reflected in the interiors, resulting from teaming CNL Interior Design Department and the owner’s architect, all of which plays on the contrast of light and shade.
The main deck includes a unique salon and dining area with the owner’s cabin at aft. The flooring is in dark-chocolate wengé, while the walls are lacquered in opaque white. In the owner’s cabin, wengé is found again in the bedside tables and the central cupboard while a central leather 'C' from the floor to the ceiling creates a decorative element. An elegant bathroom boasts wengé cabinetry and sinks of shiny curved nickel. The faucets are all in platinum.

The galley is found on the lower deck, connecting to the dining room through a dum-waiter. It separates the guest area, comprising one VIP and two twin cabins, all with wengé on the floors and wainscoting, and a wengé 'C'-shaped decorative element, from the crew area (with one captain’s and two twin cabins). The fly-bridge, which is also a secondary wheel bridge, is a spacious solarium with a sofa and lounge chairs. Garages are located in the stern and the prow, providing accommodation for jet skis and tender.
This is a unique vessel expressing the owner’s taste, in perfect harmony with the Admiral philosophy. For more info click here
