In a press release dated March 31, 2010, Boero Group, Genoa, Italy, has announced a significant expansion plan in their marine paint business in North America.
Boero Group CEO, Giorgio Rupnik stated now is the right time to invest in the North American yacht market.
With 145 years of experience in yacht coatings in Europe, the Group has been successful manufacturing and supplying coatings to 40% of global new steel/aluminum superyacht construction market.
Boero's strength in Europe has been developed for the entire leisure marine segments, with product ranges that cover superyachts to small boats as well as professional applicators to do-it-yourselfers.
Steve Schultz, former Managing Director for Interlux for 24 years, will lead the expansion.
